For integrated fiber-optic cabling products, high-density cabling will greatly improve space utilization efficiency while improving data efficiency in the data center equipment room, while improving ventilation efficiency and reducing cooling energy consumption in the equipment room. Optical Technology has completed the design of the slimming solution on the existing 100G Ethernet fiber cabling solution. The solution can meet the needs of customers with higher space density while ensuring product quality. The slimming solution includes 1.2mm*2 duplex LC jumper, 1U144 core distribution frame, 5.5mm32 core MPO trunk and 2.0mm12 core MPO/MTP jumper.
1. 100G BASE-CWDM4 and 100G BASE-SWDM4 adopt duplex DC structure. The conventional duplex LC cable is 2.0mm *2 structure, and the slimming body is upgraded to 1.2mm *2 structure. Compared with the original solution, the existing 1.2mm*2 duplex LC fiber optic cable reduces the volume of the cable by 40% and the cable weight by about 30%, which greatly reduces the volume and strength requirements of the cable channel. At the same time, it reduces the construction difficulty of engineers.

Second, the distribution frame used with the duplex LC fiber optic cable is upgraded from the original 96-inch 1U rack 96 core to 144 core. The original standard 19-inch 1U distribution frame is composed of four 24-core MPO/MTP to LC module boxes, and now the 144-core distribution frame consists of 12 12-core MPO/MTP to LC module boxes. Compared with the original 1U rack 96 core, the existing 1U rack 144-core distribution frame has a 50% increase in capacity in the same space, which greatly improves the cabinet utilization. And the new structure adopts a drawer structure, which is convenient for construction personnel to install and manage.

Third, the conventional 8-core trunk cable uses a 4.5mm cable structure. Now upgraded slimming main cable is 32 core, 5.5mm outer diameter, sub-cable is 4 1.4mm cable structure. Compared with the original 8-core 4.5mm optical cable, the existing 32-core 5.5mm trunk cable structure reduces the space ratio by about 63%. In addition, while ensuring mechanical strength, it can reduce the weight by 60%, reduce the requirements on the strength and capacity of the cable channel, increase the ventilation area, and effectively reduce the construction intensity. 4. The current 100G BASE-SR4 and 100G BASE-PSM4 adopt MPO/MTP connector structure. The conventional 12-core fiber optic cable is 3.0mm. Now it is upgraded to 12-core 2.0mm cable structure, using 2.0mmMPO/MTP parts. structure.

Compared with the original 3.0mm optical cable, the existing 2.0mm fiber optic cable structure reduces the space ratio by about 33%.
